The final entry deadline for the Seventh Edition of the COMEL Award has been extended to June 25, 2018.
Consult the notice and the indications on www.premiocomel.it to register your work in the international competition open to all artists aged 18 and up who live and work in Europe.
Works can be registered according to any technique, painting, sculpture, design, photography and installation, provided they have aluminium as main element and respecting the theme of this year: ‘Harmonies in Aluminium’.
The names of the 13 finalists, chosen by a jury of experts, will be communicated at the end of July. The finalist works will be exhibited at the Spazio COMEL Contemporary Art gallery, from October 6th to 27th. The winner will be decreed at the end of the exhibition and will receive a cash prize of 3500 euros, along with the opportunity to exhibit in a solo exhibition at Spazio COMEL, with a dedicated catalogue.
The jury of the Seventh Edition is composed of Giorgio Agnisola, art critic and writer, Professor of Sacred Art at the Pontifical Theological Faculty of Southern Italy; Andrea Baffoni, historian and art critic, curator of exhibitions in Italy and abroad, essayist and journalist; Lorenzo Canova, art historian, curator, art critic and Associate Professor of History of Contemporary Art at the Department of Humanities, Social Sciences and Education of the University of Molise; Ada Patrizia Fiorillo, historian, art critic, journalist and associate Professor of History of Contemporary Art at the University of Ferrara. Maria Gabriella Mazzola is a permanent member of the jury, as in every edition. She is the owner, along with his family, the CO.ME.L. company, promoter and supporter of COMEL Prize.
