Photograms, in the flow of memories
Solo exhibition of Hubert Bujak
Curated by Giorgio Agnisola
Spazio COMEL arte contemporanea- Via Neghelli, 68 Latina
Opening Saturday, June 8, 6 p.m.
With June, the first part of Spazio COMEL’s 2024 programming comes to a close, and it does so with a significant event: “Photograms – In the Flow of Memory“, a solo exhibition by Hubert Bujak curated by Giorgio Agnisola, organized under the patronage of the Polish Ministry of Culture.
The artist, who lives and works in Wrocław in lower Silesia, returns to Latina after triumphing during the 10th edition of the COMEL Award “The Aluminium eXperience“ with the work “In The Flow” , a composition of 41 brightly colored aluminium casting plates.
In the exhibition “Photograms – In the Flow of Memory“, we will have the opportunity to discover Hubert Bujak’s most recent artistic journey: his aluminum and canvas compositions depict a living experience, a feeling, and imagery permeated by expressionist aesthetics. The aluminium castings will be flanked by a series of painting works, mostly oil on canvas, also of large dimensions.
The compositions are the hallmark of this exhibition and allow, between associations, juxtapositions, and contrasts, to build together with the artist a tale, a flow of concepts, ideas, and sensations, of soul snapshots that show a fragment of Bujak’s artistic universe. A story that, while related to everyday reality, is dreamlike, fairy-tale-like, sometimes raw, sometimes dramatic.
The exhibition, which will have its opening on Saturday, June 8 at 6 p.m., will be open daily from 5 to 8 p.m. until June 23.
