Awarded the COMEL Vanna Migliorin Award 2012
Massimiliano Drisaldi is the winner of the first edition of the Comel Award Vanna Migliorin contemporary art 2012
In the splendid setting of the ‘Spazio COMEL’ the Technical Jury assigned the coveted award to the engraver for the following reasons:
“Having been able to enhance aluminium, a modern and contemporary material, using it for an ancient and precious technique such as engraving; having drawn attention to the expressive possibilities of aluminium, creating a work that the material itself contributes to make bright, vibrant, intense. “
The engraver Massimo Drisaldi, author of the work “Winter”, won the first edition of the Premio Comel Vanna Migliorin Arte Contemporanea 2012. Drisaldi, born in Rome in 1939, has deepened over the years all the techniques of engraving on metals, but, it was the first time that it was measured with aluminum. The artist who has always alternated his artistic activity between engraver and painter has participated in various exhibitions and national and international art exhibitions and in this period resides in the city of Aprilia.
During the ceremony of Proclamation that was held on the evening of Saturday, March 17 at the space Comel in Via Neghelli, 68 in Latina, the technical jury of the award, born with the aim of drawing attention to the expressive potential, Aesthetics and communication of aluminium, consisting of: Maria Gabriella Mazzola, Silvia Sfrecola Romani, Annalisa Lazzarotto, Giuliana Bocconcello, Annalaura Patanè, Roberta Sciarretta, Massimiliano Vittori, after having carefully evaluated the works has decreed the winner.
